最近我在别的网站上发现了一个也是关于旅游的博客,它叫:Provence france 我在里面摘了一片文章,大家有兴趣可以看一下。
PROVENCE is located in the Mediterranean side of France. As such, it shares features uniquely Mediterranean which can also be found in a few cities in Spain, one of which is the love of seafood. Other than that, Provence is known to have one of the excellent French cuisine in the country. But Provence is not only known for its seaside. Its hinterland side produces one of the best agricultural products across Europe. For the uninitiated, I would tell you now that each village in Provence has its own market day just like what they do in the good old days where farmers come together and display their produce to be sold to the people. Mind you, these produce are really fresh so I suggest that if you take a vacation here in France, make sure to immerse yourself in a certain farming community. It will truly be a rewarding experience worth cherishing your whole life. Among the products that are usually displayed are various bread, cheese, sausages, olives and preserves.
Being France as it is, many restaurants here are formal and I’m very tempted right now to share this old joke: if you can’t pronounce the food, you can’t afford it. Unfortunately, there may be some truth to it so make sure that if you’re traveling here in Provence, you’ll have the money. The most prudent way to travel here is to visit either Expedia or Travelocity online and scout for the thriftiest deals. Then call the customer support of either of these two travel agencies and book yourself or your family a travel package here. Be sure to book as far as two months ahead since airline tickets, hotel billetings and tour reservations are already filled as far as three weeks ahead. That is not ridiculous since France is one of the prime tourist destinations in the world.
A typical usually lasts about an hour. That’s the average pace of a person eating here on a full-course meal. People are actually encouraged that eating is important that’s why chowing must be enjoyed. Restaurants in Provence and in the whole of France for that matter discourage people from ordering customized dishes – meaning one that is not stipulated in the menu. The restaurateurs feel that what they’re serving is nutritious and delicious. You can still have a turnaround for this though – menus in restaurant vary per season. But if you want to be economical, you can always go to a café because it’s far cheaper there. Food that is usually served in a typical café here in Provence is pizza, sandwiches, iced tea, chocolate and coffee. Provencale rose is the most prominent wine in Provence. It is dry and usually drank in virtually any meal.
Provence food is usually mixed in olive oil and stuffed with tomatoes, zucchini eggplant and lemons. During occasions, bouillabaisse is served. Everything is also served with lavender from roast chicken to ice cream. Bouillabaisse is actually soup from fish caught in Marseille. The stew itself doesn’t come from one broth alone, it comes from a mixture of other seafood broth like shellfish. Now that’s delicious.
